Ingredients
-
1 lb Cape Grim Grass Fed Ground Beef
3 Roma Tomatoes Sliced
1 Yellow Onion Sliced
Goat Cheese
2 Cups of Arugula
Bacon Jam
5 Slider Rolls Of Your Choice
Salt + Pepper To Taste
Olive Oil
Tablespoon of Balsamic Vinegar
Directions
For The Roasted Tomatoes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place sliced roma tomatoes on a baking sheet. Lightly drizzle with olive oil, and season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cooked. Set aside.
For The Caramelized Onions
Cover a skillet with olive oil and heat over medium high. Add in sliced onions and immediately season with salt. Let the onions cook slowly, constantly stirring so that they evenly become soft and brown.
Reduce heat to medium low and deglaze with a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Remove from heat and set aside.
For The Sliders
Remove your Cape Grim Ground Beef from the freezer. Allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours before starting this recipe.
Heat your pan over medium high heat. Divide the ground beef into 5-6 patties. Season patties with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the patties on the hot pan and cook for about four minutes or so on the first side. Flip the burger over and cook it for another few minutes on the other side. Always remember to use a meat thermometer! These patties are small so they will cook quickly.
Place each patty on one half of the slider roll. On the other side, spread on your bacon jam. Next, top the meat with goat cheese, roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, fresh arugula, and the top bun. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Note
This recipe makes about 5-6 sliders.
