Oishii Shrimp
Oishii (oh-ee-shee) shrimp are all-natural shrimp processed live for exceptional freshness. They're raised in small-batch farms in Thailand and Vietnam and frozen within 4 hours of leaving the water.
The result is a firm, sweet, jumbo shrimp with nothing added but water and salt.
Most farmed shrimp travel to the processing plant on ice for hours, dying along the way and soaking up water. Oishii's farms are built within minutes of the plant, and the shrimp travel live in aerated tanks.
They're processed the moment they arrive and frozen within 4 hours of harvest, against an industry norm of 12–16 hours, so they stay firm and sweet with minimal drip loss.
