Mayura Station is located in the Limestone Coast of South Australia, in the heart of some of the best farming country in Australia. This pristine environment is ideal for producing the ultimate quality, award-winning Wagyu beef.
The location of Mayura Station boasts rich, rolling hills and healthy, fertile soils as well as a moderate climate, sparkling clean water and reliable rainfall.
The Process
The finest Japanese black-haired Wagyu cattle are selected to enter the grain-feeding program utilizing a time-honored slow-growth technique where cattle are grain-fed for a minimum of 500 days to create beef with a fine texture, buttery flavor, envious juiciness, and tenderness.
Grand Champion Award Winner
The Grand Champion is the entry with the highest overall score across all categories in the Australian Wagyu Association's "Wagyu Branded Beef Competition". Each year, the Grand Champion is celebrated as being the pinnacle of Wagyu production for the year, the only Wagyu-specific beef competition that puts the best Wagyu brands head-to-head to enable continual improvement in Wagyu quality.
